            Bug ID: 489150
Summary: Klipper is causing plasmashell process to consume a
                    lot of RAM
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 6.1.0
          Platform: Manjaro
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Clipboard
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: med.medin.2...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: 1.0

I set my Klipper history to 700 entries to use as backup for my previous copied
items between sessions.

I checked the size of "~/.local/share/klipper/history2.lst" and was only about
24.3MB.

But after each login plasmashell process consumes more than 700MB of RAM.

If I disable Klipper in System Tray settings then restart plasmashell, its RAM
usage drop to <300MB.

It seems like plasmashell is loading all of saved entries inside a non
optimized data structure.

Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.3.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2
Kernel Version: 6.9.6-1-MANJARO (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
