Both work for me. If you run Kwave from a terminal, do you see any warnings in
the output?
In Settings > MP3 Encoder Setup, if you press 'Auto Detect...', does it find
Lame?
What settings give the error with ogg? Sample rate, sample size, tracks,
compression, and encoding mode. Have you tried changing the settings to see if
anything works for you?
