SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Click on the Start button, or whatever it's called, on the bottom-left of
the screen
2. Click Hibernate

OBSERVED RESULT
The system seems to hibernate, and then when I turn it on, instead of resuming
from hibernation, it just boots as if it had been shut down.

EXPECTED RESULT
Apparently, in order for Hibernate to work, there's things that I need to set
up:
https://forum.manjaro.org/t/never-resumes-from-hibernation-boots-as-if-shut-down/168485/2

Now that's ridiculous to begin with, the installer should have taken care of
that, hibernation in 2024 should be something that comes out of the box. But
that's not KDE's responsibility, I guess.

However, if KDE provides a Hibernate button, it IS its responsibility that this
button is ony enable if it is, in fact, capable of safely hibernate, and
otherwise, should show the reasons why it's not.

So, the "Hibernate button" should be disabled, and displayed in red, or greyed
out, or some other conventional way to indicate that there's an issue, and when
clicked (either on the button itself or on some "i" or danger icon next to it
or whatever), should provide a diagnostic of what makes hibernation
unavailable.

Please do not underestimate the importance of this or consider this a feature
request. To provide a button that allows the user to hibernate with the false
promise of being able to resume, has catastrophic consequences. Basically data
loss.
