          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: k...@frost.kiwi
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
Kubuntu 24.10 Beta. Plasma 6 font selector crashes on both X11 and Wayland, I
am unable to change my font in KConsole or the system. No new fonts were
installed, which could have affected this.
It also crashes the system settings, when launching the font selector from the
system settings and it crashes KConsole, when changing the fonts there.

Tried launching it via a console command `kcmshell6 fonts` to hopefully finds a
reason for the crash. Before the crash I get:
```
Using fontconfig file: "/home/bamboo/.fonts.conf"
qt.qml.typeresolution.cycle: Cyclic dependency detected between
"qrc:/qt/qml/org/kde/desktop/private/TextFieldContextMenu.qml" and
"qrc:/qt/qml/org/kde/desktop/MenuItem.qml"
```
Then I click the pencil icon to change a font
```
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
```

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Font selector
2. Try to change a fault

OBSERVED RESULT
SEGFAULT

EXPECTED RESULT
Being able to open the font selector
