--- Comment #7 from kam...@yahoo.com --- I've solved the problem myself. Increasing the height of the panel from 32 to 34 makes the clock appear a little bigger but somehow suppresses the problem. I forgot what the status of the issue was before I reopened it so I'll leave it reopened.
