Bug ID: 496389 Summary: Tool to determin time difference from clock photo show diffent timestamp Classification: Applications Product: digikam Version: 8.5.0 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Plugin-Generic-TimeAdjust Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: e.hilg...@gmx.de Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 175884 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=175884&action=edit detailed descripton screenshot of behauvior SUMMARY In the "Adjust Time & Date" Tool, when using the "Determine Time Difference With Clock Photo" the wrong time difference is calculated. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Load Clock Photo in the tool "Determine Time Difference With Clock Photo". 2. See in the bottom, where you set the time from the photo is another time as the timestamp used by the "Adjust Time & Date" Tool 3. type in the time shown on the clock in the photo 4. The calculated difference of 2 hours (+something) is wrong (one hour to early) OBSERVED RESULT The time in "timestamp updated" collum shows another time, as the time of the clock entered in the tool EXPECTED RESULT the time in the "timestamp updated" collum should be the exact time entered for the clock photo SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 11 Pro / 23H2 / Build 22631.4460 macOS: (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window) Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION When i took the photo, the camera was still configured in summer time, even though it was winter time. In the metadata from exiftool i can see a TimeZone of +2, but it was +1 at the time the picture was taken. So the timestamp of the photo is about an hour later then it was. The difference calculation should result in a difference of about an hour, but it actualy shows a difference of about 2 hours. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
