            Bug ID: 496853
Summary: imported audio object cutting off prematurely
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kdenlive
           Version: 24.08.3
          Platform: Microsoft Windows
                OS: Microsoft Windows
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Project Bin & Import
          Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
          Reporter: psychojos...@hotmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
As I posted recently in the forum:
For my current project, I recorded the voiceover in a separate program,
exported it as an mp3, and copied that to my project bin to use in the video.
For some reason it cuts off a fraction of a second too early, so I’m missing
the last syllable of the last word in the voiceover. The mp3 itself is fine -
if I open it in any audio player on my computer it runs all the way to the end,
nothing missing. It’s just when I open it in kdenlive that it cuts off. I’ve
tried reloading the clip, deleting the clip and then copying it to the bin
again, and even opening the clip in a brand new project just to test it out,
and it’s the exact same problem each time.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. record an audio clip in a separate program, then export it as mp3
2. add that mp3 to the project bucket in kdenlive

OBSERVED RESULT
The imported audio object cut off a fraction of a second early - not drastic,
but enough that you can clearly hear it

EXPECTED RESULT
Should have played all the way to the end of the recorded audio

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 11
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.7.0
Qt Version: 6.8.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
A forum user suggested exporting my audio in a different format instead of mp3,
so I tried that and it worked successfully - audio played all the way to the
end like it was supposed to. Specific format that I used in this case was
FLAC. I have not tested with other formats.
