It still reads from /usr [kde-devel@Mark-Linux ~]$ kde4-config --localprefix /home/kde-devel/.kde/ [kde-devel@Mark-Linux ~]$ kde4-config --path exe /home/kde-devel/.kde/lib/kde4/libexec/:/home/kde-devel/kde/lib/kde4/libexec/:/home/kde-devel/kde/bin/ [kde-devel@Mark-Linux ~]$ I added my "profile.sh" to .kde/env/ and still nothing. [kde-devel@Mark-Linux ~]$ echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH /home/kde-devel/kde/lib:/home/kde-devel/kde/lib:/home/kde-devel/kde/lib:/home/kde-devel/kde/lib: [kde-devel@Mark-Linux ~]$ echo $PATH /home/kde-devel/kde/bin:/home/kde-devel/kde/bin:/home/kde-devel/kde/bin:/home/kde-devel/kde/bin:/home/kde-devel/kde/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/share/java/apache-ant/bin:/usr/bin/vendor_perl:/usr/bin/core_perl [kde-devel@Mark-Linux ~]$ I also wonder.. We have: .xprofile .profile WHY isn't KDM just freaking using .xprofile? KDM's own "Xsession" file contains this: [ -f /etc/xprofile ] && . /etc/xprofile [ -f $HOME/.xprofile ] && . $HOME/.xprofile so it should just read that. Yes, i'm really irritated by KDE at the moment. Specially if i just want to make a darn dolphin patch! How can i FORCE KDE to read the bin's from /home first?
