(assuming use of C++, Python or Ruby; with Javascript you follow a similar 
pattern, but you don't subclass DataContainer but use jobs to track temporary 
state (prevents bookkeeping) and the DataContainers to cache the data into; 
gives all the same benefits of a DataContainer subclass approach in the other 
languages)
