Embedded Databases may be an nice option on standalone systems, but in
Multiuser
environments like all Uniec-like Systems Like *BSD, Linux et al this is a bad
idea.
NFS based installations are standard if there are more than one system around,
so embedded
Databases in $HOME are sentened to death by accidential login on an other Node.
This deasease is also the dead of akonadi. But in akonadi it is possible to
configure
the use of external postgres databases. In Amarok external MySQL is possible,
but work neither performant nor stable. PostGres will do better. Also it is not
recommended to run 2 fat Database engines. One should enough.

So, it may be an good idea to make it choosable, PostGres or MySQL on Server.

So, it would be an nessesary option to use external Databases, i.e. on the
server.
MySQL does not meet any licences requirements anymore, due the evil behavior of
it's
owners. PostGres ist in those case the clearly better choose.
IMHO we should trash MySQL in to the digital trashbin.

So, back to work, there is much to code here :D
