"Can't update" usually means you are missing subversion, git, or bazaar
which are used to get copies of the source code. Check the error.log for
the projects you are getting these errors on, that should tell you what you
need. "Can't configure with cmake" means you are missing dependencies,
again check the error.log files to see what is missing.
