You might want to change your configuration file (kdesrc-buildrc). Under global you will find "qtdir" which points to the Qt you wish to use with kdesrc-build. Try changing it to the qtbase folder inside your compiled qt5 and see if it works. Also, are you sure you have set all the paths properly as described in [1] ? You can also refer this blog post [2].
