Dear KDE Community,

Hello

My name is Krisha Mehta, and I am a computer science student with a strong
interest in open-source software and building meaningful desktop
applications. I recently explored KDE through Google Summer of Code and was
inspired by KDE’s mission to give users control over their digital lives
through free and open technology.

I am very interested in contributing to KDE, particularly in areas related
to C++, Qt/QML, and desktop applications. I enjoy working on structured
problem-solving, data structures, and user-focused software, and KDE’s rich
ecosystem feels like a great place to learn while contributing to impactful
projects.

As I prepare for Google Summer of Code, I would love guidance on:

   -

How beginners can start contributing to KDE
   -

Projects or modules suitable for first-time contributors
   -

Recommended issues, documentation, or mentorship channels to follow

I am eager to learn, collaborate with the community, and gradually take on
more responsibility as a contributor. I would truly appreciate any
direction or resources you can share to help me get started.

Thank you for maintaining such an inspiring open-source community. I look
forward to learning from and contributing to KDE.

Warm regards,
*Krisha Mehta*
