another bad guy is xine-lib:
1. the --no-undefined flag was not picked up correctly with SS12, so it was 
ignored. Not so with SSE, who found some undefined symbols ;-) - fixed by ading 
-lmlib (commited)
2. acomp is segfaulting - this can be alleviated by disabling the -xO3 flag 
(actually any -xOn)
   since I already filed one acomp segfaulting bug, I did not do so here
   to disable the -xO3 one can add 
%define     _BASE_OPTIM
  to the FOSSxine-lib.spec
3. use of KPIC causes acomp to enter infinite loop, filed a bug (6845159). I 
made the use of this flag configurable (only in 32bit, let's see if it's also 
present in 64bits :-) but also I had to hand remove it from the 
Solaris-libtool.gz file
4. after all that I got a message that my stderr alias is not supported ... 
well, I added -DHAVE_STD_ERR to the CFLAGS and if that does not pass, I give up 
on this one.
