Ah, ok. So the real problem here with Qt is that it isn't finding the mysql installation. This is a little titchy, because the package names of the dependencies seem to have changed so often recently. The available IPS packages depend on SUNWmysql (that's mysql 4) and it's quite possible that the configure script looks in places specific to that mysql version. You'd have to look more closely at the config.log output to see why it is not finding mysql. > I didn't do any other installations or re-configure the repository. > Perhaps I should retry the "Effortless building of KDE4.2 > <http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/KDE_on_Solaris/OpenSolaris#Effortless_bui >lding_of_KDE4.2>" method, now that is has been fixed. I'm not sure "effortless" is a really good label there :) Anyway, the kde4-specs-42 repo is currently moving towards KDE 4.3. Right now it holds most of KDE 4.3 beta 2. The instructions to getting the build up and running seem accuract -- there are also notes in the repo itself, titled osol-2009-6.txt. The documentation lags somewhat, often because of the choice between "document that something is broken" and "fix it".
