Xine (1.1.10, which is quite old -- anyone wanting to fix it up to date, please do) is now available through kde4-specs-dev. We can *almost* now enable multimedia (e.g. sound notifications) in KDE4. Steps to get there are: - update phonon - rebuild lots of stuff
