I would add transparency not working under KDE as a showstopper. I downloaded a test program that's QT only, and transparency worked fine. Transparency also worked under KDE 3.5.x. However, under 4.0 and 4.1, it is detected at runtime (as far as I can tell from the code and detections during compile time) to not work on my workstation with an nvidia card and snv70 - 93.
I tried doing some debugging, but so far have only learned that the call to detect it doesn't return what it should. I'm not in front of my workstation right now, so I can't be more specific. thanks, Brett Albertson
