Has anyone else seen this error when building kdelibs? Linking CXX shared library ../../lib/libphononexperimental.so Undefined first referenced symbol in file Phonon::MediaSource::MediaSource #Nvariant 1(Phonon::MediaSourcePrivate&) CMakeFiles/phononexperimental.dir/mediasource.o ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to ../../lib/libphononexperimental.so.4.2.0 make[3]: *** [lib/libphononexperimental.so.4.2.0] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/export/home/kdeuser/build/kdelibs'
It looks extremely similar to this issue when compiling on older versions of gcc, and it apparently relates to visibility issues. http://www.progressive-comp.com/?l=kde-devel&m=120454563519699&w=2 However, the fix proposed in that Email didn't seem to work for me.
