What's your environment look like?
Did you set the variables listed in Solaris/STUDIO12.AMD64?
Did you meet all of these conditions?
# To configure stdcxx for building with Sun Studio 12, please follow
# the following simple steps:
# 0. Set the following environment variables:
# - CC
# - CXX
# - CFLAGS
# - CPPFLAGS
# - CXXFLAGS
# - LDFLAGS
# - MAKE (it should point to gmake)
# and remember to pass -library=no%Cstd in ${CXXFLAGS}.
# 1. You need GNU sed and GNU awk in your path.
# 2. Edit the script Solaris/patch_includes_studio12, and set the correct
# directory path for your installation of Sun Studio 12.
# 3. Copy the script Solaris/configure to stdcxx's toplevel directory
# 4. Make sure the ./configure script picks up GNU sed and GNU awk.
# 5. Type ./configure
# 6. To build stdcxx, type 'gmake'
# 7. That's it.
Are you actually building this on an AMD64 system?
