I'm running into this problem in dependencies:

Then later, when I removed (-r) my current KDE packages + dependencies,
I ended up with:

So I wonder, might there be a problem between my -129 pkg client and
the older pkg server on bionicmutton?

You were doing a fresh install on virtualized b124?
