still works after some configuration activity - very good.

I have noticed though that quite a few actions/activities cause the window
manager (I think) to die: the background window goes dark, all the panels
disappear and I can't use the mouse to select an inactive window - luckily
I can use "alt-tab" to walk the window list, therefore I can continue
working until it restarts itself, which is also lucky.

I've noticed this happens:
- when I change the app. launcher to the "classic menu style" and try to
start eg. Konsole
- when I right-click in the root window and select "desktop activity settings"
- when I set "Global options for the Plasma workspace" to netbook settings;
in this case, restart takes quite a while longer than in the other cases.
