Hi all, Kleopatra's DOCTYPE block lists a lot of general entites definitions, for example menu entries :
<!ENTITY file-new-key-pair "<menuchoice><guimenu>File</guimenu><guimenuitem>New Key Pair...</guimenuitem></menuchoice>"> There is nothing wrong with that (instead, it's a good idea, as it spares copie'n'pastes and is cleaner), but xml2po and po2xml don"t look into the DOCTYPE block. Therefore the corresponding texts cannot be translated with po files. Temporarily, for French, I did some hack with a separate entites definition file named "entities.docbook" : <!ENTITY fichier-nouvelle-paire-cles "<menuchoice><guimenu>Fichier</guimenu><guimenuitem>Nouvelle paire de cl??s...</guimenuitem></menuchoice>"> [Marc, after the freeze, you could make it more modular in English too. Just put all the entites in a separate file named "entities.docbook". This way, it would also show the other translation teams how to hack this.] But it's no long term solution, as it does not go through the general po files mechanism, translation merges, statistics, etc. The only long term solutions I can think of are : - stop using entites containing English text (sad) - fixing po2xml and xml2pot (complicated and time consuming) Best, -- MADE?IN?TURKEY?--?FABRIQU??EN?DINDE (veste en coton achet?e au Qu?bec - 2001)
