I like that plan. One problem: I suck at naming things. Anyone have any ideas? Possibly salient information: this was created by Everaldo Coelho in 2004 as the default icon theme for Kopete (named "Default"). It has that "shiny" look that was popular around then (similar to CrystalSVG). Note that kemoticons looks for themes in the generic "$XDG_DATA_DIRS/emoticons" directories, so I don't really want to call it "Default".
