I also suggested the idea of an "About Plasma" dialog at VDG some time ago: https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=285&t=128873. As a start, it could be added to the desktop context menu or the Plasma "burger" menu. I remember taking part in a thread where someone suggested (maybe you, Martin) that it would be good to have a tray icon that gives visible access to KWin's plugin functions (like zoom etc.).
