I still can't see (or think of) anything that could cause this, so I can only 
give some pretty generic suggestions: Either try portupgrade -af, which will 
rebuild all all your installed ports in the order of their dependencies, or 
keep the old arts (and KDE) for now and wait for the update to KDE 3.4 (due 
to arrive at the 21st at the latest), for which we will provide packages as 
well.
