To cut the searching short when you try the next time, the KDE metaport is x11/kde3. Also, if you build ports, do it this way: make && make install && make clean The shorthand 'make install clean' is not guaranteed to work right and will in particular not work right with x11/kde3. > At this point you best bet may be to start over.
