Hi,

I ran into a Problem with knode. It normally works fine; however,
whenever I access a certain News-Server knode crashes. I thought that
Server might be corrupt (and it may be); however, Thunderbird doesn't
run into any Problems with that Server.

That server is "news.ecomstation.com". I can download a List of Groups
w/o any Problems; however, when I subscribed to a Group and want to
download the Articles knode's Progress-Bar proceeds to 10% where it
sticks. Then knode crashes.

On the console I get:

KCrash: Application 'knode' crashing...
QSocketNotifier: invalid socket 15 and type 'Read', disabling...
QSocketNotifier: invalid socket 8 and type 'Read', disabling...
QSocketNotifier: invalid socket 3 and type 'Read', disabling...
knode: Fatal IO error: client killed

The "kcrash" Window shows that the cause was a Signal 11 (SISEGV).
However, I don't have a Backtrace:

"Eine korrekte Rckverfolgung ist nicht mglich.
Wahrscheinlich sind die Dateien Ihres Systems in einer Weise erstellt
worden, die eine solche Rckverfolgung (Backtrace) nicht erlaubt. Oder
der so genannte "Stack Frame" fr das Programm wurde durch den Absturz
unbrauchbar gemacht.

(no debugging symbols found)..."

I'm running
[bash]beaster:ralf$uname -r
5.4-STABLE

And KDE:
[bash]beaster:ralf$portversion -v kde\*

Does anyone here have a hint? Or is this a "global" (i.e. not FreeBSD
related knode-Problem?) I searched on bugs.kde.org and found a few
Tickets that "my" Problem may be related to, but most were KDE 3.0 or
3.1-related (but still are open)...

Thanks for any hint!
