Try turning off 'Use translucency/shadows' in Control Center/Desktop/Window Behaviour/Translucency if you have it turned on at the moment. In any case, this is most likely a bug in either the nvidia driver or Xorg, since KDE justs sits on top of X. Moreover, you're the first person to report of such problems, so it might even be a bug specific to your hardware.
