Hi!

I am not sure, if its BSD related or not. There are 2 similar bug reports
(http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=102424 and
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=102449), both are from BSD user and both
are set to resolved!?!

Nevertheless: if I click on a text attachment in kmail, kwrite opens. For each
attachment a kioexec process is started, which does not consume much cpu
time. But the moment I close kwrite, the cpu consumption goes up, as seen
here after openening and closing 3 attachments:

last pid: 87275; load averages: 1.41, 0.66, 0.85 up 0+02:48:01
21:36:15
84 processes: 6 running, 78 sleeping
CPU states: 14.8% user, 0.4% nice, 84.8% system, 0.0% interrupt, 0.0% idle
Mem: 303M Active, 63M Inact, 92M Wired, 20M Cache, 60M Buf, 15M Free
Swap: 1024M Total, 212K Used, 1024M Free

PID USERNAME PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE TIME WCPU CPU COMMAND
87274 root 113 0 24808K 17468K RUN 0:10 34.45% 27.15% kioexec
87272 root 113 0 24808K 17468K RUN 0:06 21.50% 17.58% kioexec
87270 root 113 0 24808K 17468K RUN 0:03 11.50% 10.69% kioexec

After some attachments the system is dead slow :-(

If I run kmail from the konsole I get a long list (at least 400 times I guess)
of:

kioexec in malloc(): error: recursive call
kioexec in malloc(): error: recursive call
kioexec in malloc(): error: recursive call
kioexec in malloc(): error: recursive call

It happend on KDE 3.4 and on 3.4.1. I am running FreeBSD 5.4.

Any suggestions?

Heiner
