Hi, A few weeks ago, I submitted an enhancement request to get the eject command in the mediaapplet (that was recently made functional on FBSD - thanks to the person that did that, it made me very happy!) to automatically dismount a CD/DVD when you choose eject. Currently on FBSD, is ejects the media but leaves it mounted (on my system at least).
The report is at: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109121 The guy who replied to my request said it worked correctly on his system, but he submitted a patch to make it dismount before ejecting anyway. I was hoping the change would show up in the 3.4.2 release, but it's still the same as before. I'm not clear on how things work, but I assume at some point that change will filter down to the FBSD port? In the meantime, is there an easy way I could take the change he posted in the bug report and apply it to my install? I guess what he ported was a diff, but I've no idea how to apply it to the port.
