Since I cannot reproduce these build errors, I'd like to know more about
your setup; FreeBSD version?

I'm lost, what do you mean by "the Kerberos setup", and how does the port
automatically detect it?
Actually, it seems to come from a past configuration choice -- both
postgresql-client-7.4.8 and postgresql-client-8.0.3 build with the
following flags:
WITHOUT_MIT_KRB5=true
WITH_HEIMDAL_KRB5=true
I think, PostgreSQL client libraries ought to be linked with the heimdal
libs, so that whatever uses them does not need to know about heimdal.
Yes, all heimdal libs should be linked into libpq.so. Postgresql-8.0 does
this correctly, but not 7.4. It is not really a port problem, they changed
a lot WRT between 7.4 ad 8.0. Any suggestions how to get 7.4 to link
libpq.so with the kerberos libs are welcome.
Regards,
Palle
