It looks like you forgot to actually disable the redirection of the sound 
output.

In the Konqueror settings dialog, go to Plugins, Netscape Plugins and uncheck 
the "Use artsdsp to pipe plugin sound through aRts" checkbox. Confirm the 
settings with ok, then type 'killall nspluginviewer' in a shell to get rid of 
all remaining nspluginviewer processes that still use the old setting.

Things should be smooth after that.
