Hello all!
I've faced with problem on my newly installed system (Freebsd 6 STABLE,
amd64) - KDE starts very
slowly and KDE-based applications too (for example, xterm, firefox are
starting without problems,
konsole, kwrite - several minutes). It looks as if would be some network
waitings. Googling
showed one of possible problems - host name mismatch in /etc/rc.conf and
in /etc/hosts. I've
several times chacked it - everything is OK. DNS servers are available and
responding, resolving
works good, firewall does not block anything (firewall_type="OPEN").
Maybe someone could suggest any diagnostics method of this problem, where
and what to see?
