No - it mainly exists so if a user reports a bug to KDE and gets pointed
at a KDE-made patch for Qt as a workaround/bugfix, they'll be easily
able to build a patched Qt.

While all the patches triggered by the KDE_PATCHES switch are believed
to preserve full source and binary compat with an unpatched Qt, they'll
still yield a Qt that's unsupported by Trolltech - that should be taken
into consideration before turning the option on (and as a reminder, a
KDE_PATCHES-fied Qt will register as qt-copy).
