Good gentlebeings - I would suggest that a short web note on freebsd.kde.org about recompiling KDE after doing the 6.9 upgrade to X.org would be A Good Idea. /usr/ports/updating talks about Display Postscript support being removed from 6.9, but it doesn't tell you that launching your KDE will freeze your computer. I couldn't even ssh in from outside!
I am extremely pleased with KDE since I've started using it a month ago, and I've survived upgrading from 3.4.3 to 3.5 on several machines. I wouldn't want others to be bit by this surprise, as it's rather worse than bedbugs on a Monday morning... :D Thanks very much!!! -- Don Wilde Org 01737 505-844-1126 Man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them. - Adlai E.
