Here you should complain to expat maintainer, who should have added that
entry sooner, perhaps post a heads-up and coordinate with dependent
port maintainers.

What I don't know is why we don't have a PORTREVISION bump for
dependent ports in expat case, like we have for other share libs.

kdegraphics PORTREVISION was bumped because of yet an other xdpf
security problem; xpdf people seem to have an erratic behaviour when it
comes to security disclosure.

kdebase bump is for fixing a bug.

pcre update breaks for now kdelibs configure

A good rule of thumb is to wait one - two weeks before upgrading kde.

At user-level wait for a while.
At maintainer-level some of it could be avoided by better coordination
(like it was the case last time when both kde and gnome where updated).

Of course, your help in (helping) maintaining any port will be
appreciated.
