Just a quick note to ask if you might be able to include the
following in Cities.dat
Hobart : Tasmania :
Australia : 42 : 52 : 57 : S : 147 : 19 : 48 : E :+10.0 : AU
I noticed that kstars was missing Hobart which is the capital city of
Tasmania so thought that I might try and work out what was required to add it.
This was worked out using a map and gps by putting in the map
coordinates with the gps setup for Australian Geodetic 1966 which is
what was used for the map and then changing the gps after entering in
the coordinates from the map to WGS 84 and then changing from UTM to
the format that I think is what is required.
Anyway, below are the steps that I took so that you can check what I have done.
Also, the point selected is the GPO (General Post Office) which is
where I think all distances measured relative to Hobart start and finish from.
Hobart is also the capital of Tasmania so it would be nice to see it
in there with all the other capitals of Australia.
Australian Geodetic 1966 UTM 55G 5 26 840 E 52 52 010 N
Changed gps to WGS 84 and came up with the following:
Hddd mm ss.ss S 42 52 56.6 E 147 19 48.2
Hddd mm.mmm S 42 52.943 E 147 19.803
