New to the list, although experienced with FreeBSD, just getting used to the GUI, KDE looks great, have 3.5.1 installed now on FreeBSD 6.1. I've been using KDE on my Linux workstation for long time.
My question is about user management, KDE just doesn't seem to be in sync with my system users. Although KUser lists the users fine, when I try to add a new user, it does not apply without error. I add the user in BSD with adduser, no problem and then they show up in KUser. Also, the User list in the Samba part of the Control Panel under Internet and Network does not list any system Users available for adding as Samba users. And change password attempts in the Samba module does not seem to work...etc. Is there something I need to edit for KDE under BSD that I did not need to under Linux?
