Resolved: We do it like Debian now and patch kded to use
kde-applications.menu
instead.
Same for GNOME, we have renamed to gnome-applications.menu.

system-tools-backends's file? How about disable install it or have
kdeadmin depends on sysutils/system-tools-backends?

Resolved: Pkgconfig file isn't installed anymore (we still use the
system-tools-backends fork included with kdeadmin for now though).

or/and create patch, because hicolor-icon-theme is a fd.org icon
standard.
The hicolor-icon-theme is not exactly a GNOME stuff, which it's for
general desktops.

Can do, however this will have to wait until GNOME actually changes
PREFIX - KDE currently cannot deal with iconsets in /usr/X11R6.
We have committed it in ports tree recently. You can get patch ready and
ask portmgr for approve, I am sure that kris or/and marcus will approve it
