--- Comment #2 from Jose Alonso Cardenas Marquez <[email protected]> --- (In reply to Max Brazhnikov from comment #1) Just for the record It just add FLAVOR to 7-9 ports (maybe it could touch around 20 ports in extreme case). Mostly the reason of add FLAVOR is not create similar ports with a different x server and avoid a masive remove packages when am user wants to use Plasma/KDE with Xlibre for example. We have around 35k in our ports tree. I don't see like changing between 7-9 ports is unmaintainable. The only issue with adopt DEFAULT_VERSIONS is xlibre doesn't cover/replace all xorg components. It covers xserver and some drivers (no app, data, doc, font, lib and util). I think DEFAULT_VERSIONS is not viable right now. Maybe in the future. It is easier, for example, install lxqt+xlibre meta ports to have a desktop running without issues. The same could be with KDE/plasma if FLAVORS are added to kde, plasma6-plasma, plasma6-plasma-desktop. (pkg install xlibre-kde). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
