Hello list, A couple of days ago, I worked on a patch to make the Solid::Processor::instructionSets() method work for x86-64 architecture. We previously had a bug report because it was simply not doing anything on those CPUs.
Developed a patch which worked just flawlessly for me (Intel based x86-64 processor) and committed it in trunk and the 4.3 branch as it seemed harmless. Turns out it wasn't that harmless: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=201537 So I reverted in the 4.3 branch to not block the 4.3.0 release. Problem is that it still works nicely on my Intel processor, and the crash apparently shows only on AMD64 processors. Since I can't debug this one or test a fix, is there anyone here able and willing to take a look at it? At least knowing where it crashes in the inlined assembly (I strongly suspect it's there) would help propose solutions to test.
