IIRC, there's a number of skype helper plasmoids available on kde-look.org, as well as a skype-related service menu (think dolphin/konqueror context menu) or two. As I won't/can't run proprietary on my computer (I can't agree to the eulas or waive damage rights for an app that after all is black-box, its authors already demonstrated not to respect the user's basic software freedoms, which I demand, so by what insanity would I be persuaded to trust them enough to waive damage rights when what they're offering is from my perspective already anti-freedom malware?), I naturally won't run the proprietary skype, so I rather quickly skip over anything skype-related, and thus can't supply a lot of detail, but I do remember the act of seeing and quickly rejecting and skipping over I believe several such tools, available to those interested in running them, when I was last browsing for interesting "Get hot new stuff!" =:^) -- Duncan - List replies preferred.
