Perhaps its possible to prevent the whole issue thanks to some
features of gitorious?

Gitorious has support for aliases: email addresses in commits
associated with your account.
Is it possible to only allow a push when all email addresses used in
the commits are aliases of the user doing the push, with some
exceptions:
- no limitation when applying merge-requests (merging merge-requests?)
- commits that have been previously pushed by other users are exempted
from the check.

And this should probably be enabled per project and forced on for all
KDE projects.
