The fact is that the regexp /branches/KDE/(\d.\d)/kdelibs/ Does not match a path changed in that change. The tool isn't smart enough to detect that destination path of the copy is a parent dir of a match (though I have a vague memory of it auto-recursing in some conditions). That's what the recurse action is for: it's to cause it to list the path and apply the rules again. > Also, am I right to suppose the "recurse" action used to remedy this is: > > --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- > match /(branches|tags)/KDE/[^/]+/$ > action recurse > end match > --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8--- > > in converted/KDE/kdelibs-rules from the KDE ruleset? Yes. Note the $ at the end, to cause the regexp to stop matching, so that the rule only applies to when the branching we'd done was parsed. -- Thiago Macieira - thiago (AT) macieira.info - thiago (AT) kde.org Software Architect - Intel Open Source Technology Center PGP/GPG: 0x6EF45358; fingerprint: E067 918B B660 DBD1 105C 966C 33F5 F005 6EF4 5358
