I've spent the night fixing the contact-list-applet. It now works in a nicer way, and the code is nice and clean.

I've got some issues with the filtering, and the UI needs a lot adding. I'd rather merge this into contact-applet than make yet another repo. The contact-applet could do with being rewritten to share some of this code, so it makes a lot of sense to me.
