We now have a target date for Telepathy 1.0 from upstream. It will _not_ be in time for Gnome 3.12 (which is ~now), but they are targeting 3.14 (~6 months).
I'm not quite sure how this will affect what we do with regards to prioritising KF5, and Telepathy 1.0, but at least we have information.
