When I try to install Kde-Windows on Windows XP Service Pack 2, it gets as far
as downloading mirrors.list & then says it can't download mirrors.list & the
installation just stops. I am using kdewin-installer-gui-latest.exe
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Execute: kdewin-installer-gui-latest
2.Follow the installer until it gets to the point where it states downloading
mirrors.list
3.an error message appears "The mirror list could not be downloaded from any of
the following locations :
http://www.winkde.org/pub/kde/ports/win32/mirrors.list
http://www.winkde.org/pub/kde/ports/win32/mirrors.lst
You may check your proxy settings and/or inspect the install log file at
C:\Program Files\KDE\Packages\kdewin-installer.log
Click Cancel - the installation ends
Actual Results:
Nothing, the installation ends.
Expected Results:
Installation to ask you to manually install the mirrors.list file &
installation to continue.
I'm not using any Proxy Settings & I've tried disabling Windows Firewall to no
avail.
