Yep. And considering that nepomuk can be available or not it takes the 
question as an alternative, just like the md5 one. Off course there are a lot 
of advantages in the nepomuk alternative:

It is part of kde, and if you have kdelibs you got it.

When you run kdenlive matches in the nepomuk db are likely to be already done 
so no slow-down of kdenlive

it's faster than md5

Nepomuk hab been created for stuff like this

But since nepomuk can be enabled/disabled on the user's system the question 
sticks to relatives/absolutes path...
