------- Additional Comments From adam kde org 2008-02-05 09:32 -------
Laurent Montel is working on an improved editor for KDE 4.1, I don't know
enough about it yet to judge whether that will make html replies possible or
not, but maybe you can ask him. Edwin Schepers is also doing work on html
editing in general, html signatures, etc. He's a good person to ask. Post to
the mailing lists, this is a bug tracker.

Ian: I did not mean to belittle your contribution or tell you to shut up.
Unlike nearly everyone else in this thread you have, as you said, actually done
something about it. I was merely pointing out that there is no need to convince
the developers, we've been convinced for years, it's the peanut gallery who's
still arguing against this feature.

mi+kde aldan algebra com: A major reason why I and many of my colleagues at
KDAB for example still contribute to KDE is because it is part of our day job
to do payed KDE development. Without that, we would surely have "resigned"
already, for lack of time, not motivation. Payed development is an option, for
those features or bugs that the volunteers don't care to implement, that's all.
I won't "resign" from kdepim simply because I'm paid for part of my work. I do
continue to do unpaid work in KDE, but I can damn well chose what to spend that
time on, and it's not this feature. There's several mountains of work to do in
porting to KDE4 alone, so I'm focused on that, in my spare time, since right
now we want to get something usable out with 4.1.
