This ugly bug also rears its head in Opensuse Tumbleweed.
akonadi is at version 16.12.1-1.1. As is kmail for that matter.
Sometimes restarting akonadi does seem to help but never long. I can normally
read some email, but then (without any pattern that I can find) the "retrieving
etc" will occupy the message pane. As far as I can tell it most of the times
starts when trying to read email from a POP3 account, but when it does it will
also block IMAP folders.
Any suggestions on producing usable input for debugging very welcome.
